My former life

I've just learned a few days ago that the other members of the doc team in my previous company have blogs of their own too. It's good to know that these guys finally have a place to express their true essence in writing that is somehow being hindered in the IT world of Technical Writing. (Well, unless the Company Newsletter is brought back to life, blogs are all we could have guys. Hehehe) Reading their blog entries is like an exquisite brain massage. It's really different from the procedures, sentences or paragraphs that I've read from their work. This is how they really express their writing skills and not thru the docs being done in the company. It's refreshing to read such entries and seeing a different style in writing from these guys. Paging Jun Calalang, Jay Agcaoili, Ces Mantes and Rey Buan's blogsites... hehehe kayo na lang kulang ah. There's one sure thing though, I miss hanging out with these guys.

For your reading pleasure (I hope you don't mind guys. :-D), here are their blogsites, and also for the purpose of enhancing your vocabulary skills. hehehe

Jhie - the original pasaway writer
Shaui - the spunky seductive writer
Sherwin - the dramatically wise writer
Jane - the giggling intellectual writer
Olive - a "newbie" in the team but a versed fashionista writer

So, I'll be waiting for the blogsites of these four very soon huh?
Jun - the seriously deep writer
Jay - the humble gentle writer
Ces - the shyly kalog writer
Rey - the nonsense anime writer hehehe joke!

Oh by the way, FYI guys. * wink * wink * Got this from a site of a person who has a career and is an "expert" in Technical Writing.

WHAT'S THE JOB OUTLOOK?

The outlook for Technical Writing jobs is excellent. The Technical Writer occupation will grow faster than average compared with all occupations. Industry expansion will provide most new jobs, although many openings will occur as workers leave the occupation.

Hhhmm... makes me wonder if I made the right career move... Or did I?

Also, here are a few famous technical writers that I've chanced upon in the internet.

1.) Dilbert's Tina the Brittle Technical Writer

Huwhat?! Dilbert has a Technical Writer?! I didn't know that they have a technical writer! More features on her please.

2.) Fox's Andy Richter Controls the Universe

Hhhmmm... See! Writers can be funny too! Well, ok... sometimes I guess... especially if it's not corny or making weird noises like a car alarm or something

3.) The Technical Writer - The Movie

WTF! After "The Matrix," there's a movie about Technical Writers?! What's next? "The Quality Assurance Testers" or better "The Receptionist" OR much better "The Managers!" mwhaahhhahaha Can't wait to see the end of... The Technical Writers - The Movie mwahahahahha

4.) Amy Tan, Technical Writer and Novelist

Wow!! What a fulfilling reward, a box-office novel turned into a great movie. Well, well, well you can be famous after all in this career!!!

5.) Kurt Vonnegut, Technical Writer and Novelist and Graphic Artist

Uhhmmm... I dunno anything about this guy. Well, well, well you can be not that recognized or not that known after all in this career!!!

As to not end this entry on a sour note, I would just like to say, The Technical Writer - The Movie sure is a fun info to know about! Title pa lang bigatin na. I would like to thank the actors who played the characters in this movie. This is to the victory of writers in the world! In your face QA Testers!!!!!!! Hahahahahaha Ay... teka, yan na yung ginagawa ko ngayon ah. Acheche!
