Gising Friend...

May multivitamins, vitamin E, vitamin C, royal jelly, tsaka ginko biloba.

Dati, laging may inuman.

Balikan mo sila.

Ikaw ang nagbago, hindi ang mundo.

Tumatanda ka na, friend.

An early celebration jinxed it

Dam-it. Yesterday we were in jubilation because Yahoo Messenger was back online here in our office. Our social life was alive again and we can have contact to the outside world. I guess we celebrated early because today, no YM again. :( Hay... I wonder when it will be back again or off again or back again. No word on why it was gone again today. Why'd they have to bring it back only to take it away again. Why?! Why?! Why?! Huhuhu

1111 Part 2

Yesterday was really Nikki's Bday and so, we celebrated it again but this time in her cousin's pad. We had tilapia, itlog na pula, kamatis and sinigang na baboy for dinner. Yum yum indeed! Nikks, Donish, Nicko, Doths and I were the first to arrive at the place. It's good to be the first ones there 'coz we had first servings and a very full filling of dinner. No leftovers for us! No, No! hehehe After dinner, Donish's MagicSing, the default party need, was doing it's magic work. After we sang a few rounds, the rest of the gang came. Oh by the way, Oyo was there too and guess what, yep you're right, I made him cry but only once this time. hehehe

This time around a lot of people got drunk just by drinking the rhum-coke mix, the gin-four seasons mix and the gilbey's-lime mix. Whew! That's a lot! And to think that these were just the leftover drinks from the party we had last Saturday. To Donish, Beng, Max and the Bday gurl Nikks, I wish I was drunk with you guys, I wish that too. Had a lot of fun. You guys were laughing non-stop.

To Donish, you were so drunk that you kept on saying "Ano ba tong iniinom ko, alang tama! Di ako nalalasing!" Guess again Donish, guess again. You were also the one who saw us off Nikk's place and thanking us in attending the party. You hugged everybody and flirted a bit with Jhie's friend by getting her cellphone number. Inaagawan mo pa si Joel ha! You rock Donish! You R-O-C-K! hahahaha

To Beng, you were so drunk that you kept hanging out with the guys outside and not hogging the MagicSing. Wait... kahit di ka drunk you always hang out with guys outside. No diff there I guess. R-P 4ever!!!! hahahaha

To Nikks, you were so drunk that your eyes were puffy and every picture that I took of you, you look "bangag". You kept on laughing and laughing and laughing. Laugh trip na lasing. Saya!!! You can't even remember me and Doths saying goodbye to you. A happy, happy, happy birthday indeed! Both of your parties rocks! Here's to Happiness!

We left around 12 midnight, and after taking Jhie and her friend back to RCBC and Doths to her cousin's place, I had the urge to go back to the Nikk's place and party some more, but the waking up early part in the morning and not being late in office got the best of me and just thought of going home na lang. Oh well, times like these makes me wish that my current company had the same flexi-time as in my previous company.

Anyway, I heard they partied 'till 3am on a Tuesday night! Rock on!

B-A-D F***ing TRIP!!!!!!!!

Effective today, Yahoo Messenger is no longer allowed here in our office. Also, some sites that deals with Humor, Entertainment and Dating or Personals, etc. basta anything that can stimulate or entertain a person, cannot be visited anymore in the internet. May Blocked Sites na dito!! (I don't want to mention yung bansa kasi minumura ko talga sila.) Hello!!!! Simpleng meeting or email man lang sana para sabihin sa madlang tao na wala na kayong libangan!!! Mahirap bang gawin yon?! Proper communication or dissemination of information lang di pa magawa! Nakakainis talga!!!!! Skype na lang daw gamitin namin dito. Heller!

F*CK!!!!!

Pardon my French, but it really is unfair! GGGRRRRR... Monday na Monday eh sinira yung week. Leche!

Sana di nila ma-discover to. Sana!!!!!!!

The Richmonde Hotel (TRH), Ortigas, Manila

3:00 PM - picked up Nikki and Oyo at their house, and a few minutes after, fetched Beng, the "RP" Beng was still sleepy that she didn't understand my text that we were already in front of her "condo" (hehehe) waiting for her. tsk tsk tsk She went to Nikks place. Bought pichi-pichi at Amber too.

4:00 PM - Arrived the The Richmonde Hotel, checked-in to our room and relaxed for awhile. Met Nikki's good friend Karen, who also was having a party beside our room. Neat! The room was nice! You have a view of San Miguel Ave., you could see EDSA, the MRT, The Shangrila, MegaMall and Lourdes School's swimming pool. At first I thought that was the hotel's swimming pool (hehehe), and I thought, "Why do you have to cross the street to get to the swimming pool?". Doh! Me and my funny thoughts. hehehe TRH has an indoor swimming pool pala. Neato!

5:00 PM - Nikks, Beng and I went to MegaMall to buy lots of liquor and junk food to help attain blissfulness and a blasted hangover thereafter.

6:00 PM - Went back to the room to get a little rest and waited for the others to arrive. Played with Oyo for awhile also. Mwahahahahaha I didn't make Oyo cry. teehee

7:00 PM - Still in the hotel resting, waiting, playing.

8:00 PM - Went to Dencio's, Metrowalk to have our dinner. The table we reserved was already given away because there was only a 15 minute wait for the reservation. This little detail they forgot to tell us, so we had to wait for a table. Yes, we waited and we waited for about an hour and a half to get a table!!! We were all so hungry and pissed at the person responsible for getting us a table because it was taking too long. First, they didn't bother to tell us that there was only a 15 minute wait for a reserved table and second, waiting for a table was taking toooooo long. Oyo was getting restless too. I almost made him cry.

9:00 PM - Still waiting... Counting BMWs passing by. Took pictures. Talked to Cuzin Boyette on updates on his life.
Here's the group still waiting outside

10:00 PM - We finally got a table and eat dinner. Silence for one hour. All you'll hear are munching and the clatter of spoon and fork; no conversations either. Oyo dozed off while we were eating.
Finally at the table with Cuzin Boyette

11:00 PM - Full and satisfied, we went back to the hotel to start the bliss. We sang, drank, laughed, and partied. Felt like rock stars that flipping the sofas and chairs was a trip, especially when we were singing Bon Jovi's "It's My Life". hehehe Good thing we were just starting to fill our bodies with alcohol that time, so we were still a little saner and the energy was still a little down coz of the sudden food we just ate.

Don and I kept singing duet songs, it was fun to hear Don sing in a low voice and me in a high voice. hehehehe What was more surprising was all the songs Don and I sang got high scores! Mwahahahahaha
The party people!

12:00 AM - More booze and singing

1:00 AM - More and more booze, a riot, singing and dancing. 2 lovely cakes that says Chikinikki and Mary Palmer. I'm one of those who didn't get that Mary Palmer joke.
The bday gurl with her yummy cakes.

2:00 AM - Booze. Riot. Full volume singing. Some people are starting to leave the party also. Curfew of some people. hehehe
Don & I with the bday gurl

3:00 AM - I snuck out of the other room and went to the bedroom to get a little shuteye. hehehe My head was spinning a little and wanted to rest for awhile.

4:00 AM - I woke up. Silence from the other room, no more singing. All I heard was people talking. Hmmm... no more party 'till dawn? I went to the other room, they all said that I missed a lot while sleeping in the other room. I missed revelations and good stories. I asked them to recap everything, they didn't oblige. Now I regret going to sleep. Drunk conversations and insights are the best. hehehehe

5:00 AM - Everybody called it a night and went to bed. I wasn't sleepy coz I just slept, so TV was my only companion while everyone went to dreamland.

6:00 AM - Was getting a bit sleepy so had a little shuteye. Weird dream I was having, I was dreaming that when I woke up from my sleep the whole room was springing a leak. Drops of water everywhere. After waking up from this dream, I went back to sleep again.

7:00 AM - I had another weird dream. It was still about the hotel room. My dream now was when I woke up, the room was now full of flies!!! There were flies everywhere. Everyone in the room was in a panic. This dream really woke me up at once with my heart beating a little bit faster. Went back to sleep again.

8:00 AM - Another weird and scary dream. This one really woke me up immediately and didn't bother to go back to sleep anymore. It was still about the hotel room and the ghost or whatever it was showed up. That's all I remember. Other details about the dream was a blur. I didn't want to go back to sleep anymore so I decided pull a chair near the window and see the view of Ortigas in the early Sunday morning.

9:00 AM - Oyo woke up. We played by the window. Looking at cars and buildings. I told him to wake everybody up by patting their cheek a little and say "Wakey! Wakey!". hahahaha We had fun while he did that to Beng. But instead of patting the cheek a little. He whacked the pillow. hahahaha That's not my fault anymore. hehehehe

10:00 AM - Nikks, Oyo and I went down for breakfast. Sumptuous breakfast buffet. My favorite meal of the day. Full and satisfied. Scrambled eggs from a hotel are the best!

11:00 AM - Went back to the room to relax and tried to wake everybody up again. Oyo did the Wakey, Wakey thing again. hehehe It was hilarious. This time, I told him to wake Don up and pat him in the stomach instead of the cheek.
Asking Oyo to Wakey, Wakey Tito Don hehehe

12:00 PM - Everyone was awake. Watched TV and did all our morning rituals. Played with Oyo, made him cry twice. But it was all an accident, we were playing by the window and jumping in the bed and he bumped his lip and back. hehehe Sowi little Oyo.

1:00 PM - We headed down for lunch. I was still full from the breakfast buffet so I just had a ripe mango shake while everyone enjoyed their meals. Oyo was getting cranky coz it was he's sleepy time at this hour and he's not sleeping. He played with all the knives and the forks at the table.
Oyo the hyper kid

2:00 PM - We all went back to the room and prepared our things as it was time to check-out of the room. Oyo cried again. hehehe Again, not my fault.

3:00 PM - We headed home. Dropped them off to their pads. Picked up my sister in Makati. Went home. Slept.

Thanks Nikks for a weekend blast! Happy Birthday!

Bummer!

Bummer! Bummer! Bummer! Do you remember my last entry about vacations, buy something or pay bills? Well, I think I know what the default decision is! Pay bills! Yep, that's correctamundo! No vacations coz I have deadlines on those specific dates, no more buying of dressers coz I need to put my money on important matters, so I'm stuck to paying off my bills! wahhh!!! Oh Well, maybe it's just not yet time for me to go on a vacation or buy material things for comfort. Some other time I guess... Ok enough gloominess... looking forward to a party tomorrow... YEAH!!! Tah tah!

A Super Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY WENG!!!

Happy birthday to a Super Friend, Super Mom, Super Wife, Super Daughter, Super Nurse, a Super Human Being! Super talga ang taong ito.
She puts excellence in everything she does. Had lots of fun times with you and your family and here's to more and beyond!
Even if you're in the US of A na and I'm still here in our beloved Philippines, a simple "NAGPAPAKA-VICTIM KA NA NAMAN TABEL!!!" sa chat tapos sabay batok ni Doths sa akin is enough to knock me to my senses and change the picture in my head. hehehe

A Blessed Birthday to a Blessed Person!

Poker anyone?

It's been awhile since I played poker with friends. I miss playing poker so bad!!! I think I'm over my addiction phases! I think I've forgotten my poker face look. I've forgotten how to to bluff my way off a hand. I've forgotten how to control my nervous hands whenever I have a very good card hand. I've forgotten how it feels to win the pot! Hay... I wish we could play soon...

I want to teach my cousins how to play poker but they are pretty busy now-a-days. Hay... Besides, I don't want to play the old little chips that we started playing on, because it's like what they say, you will not go back once you've gotten hold of the best. But if I'm really, really, really desperate... Hhhmmm... Hello Mabuhay Chips!

I've been searching the internet on a couple of very nice and cheap poker chips, so far these are the ones that interest me.

1.)
A 500 composite clay chip set; 11.5 grams

2.)
A 400Pc 9Gram "Las Vegas" Clay Poker Chip Set w/Aluminum Case

3.)
300Pc 11.5 grams poker chips "Suited" with genuine leather case

IF (a very big IF mind you) I ever buy one of these chip sets, I would like to call upon the ancient power of my friends in the US of A if they can take it with them when they come home or visit this beautiful country of ours. hehehe Can you help a little poor poker addict, that's been trembling in a corner saying "All In, Fold, Raise!" repeatedly, and the only cure is to finally have some poker chips to play with? Pretty puhleezzzzz, with sugar, chocolate and whipped cream on top... begging... on my knees...

the pain... the pain on my fingers... longing... longing for poker...

Will it ever come?

Crispin!!! Basilio!!!

My former life

I've just learned a few days ago that the other members of the doc team in my previous company have blogs of their own too. It's good to know that these guys finally have a place to express their true essence in writing that is somehow being hindered in the IT world of Technical Writing. (Well, unless the Company Newsletter is brought back to life, blogs are all we could have guys. Hehehe) Reading their blog entries is like an exquisite brain massage. It's really different from the procedures, sentences or paragraphs that I've read from their work. This is how they really express their writing skills and not thru the docs being done in the company. It's refreshing to read such entries and seeing a different style in writing from these guys. Paging Jun Calalang, Jay Agcaoili, Ces Mantes and Rey Buan's blogsites... hehehe kayo na lang kulang ah. There's one sure thing though, I miss hanging out with these guys.

For your reading pleasure (I hope you don't mind guys. :-D), here are their blogsites, and also for the purpose of enhancing your vocabulary skills. hehehe

Jhie - the original pasaway writer
Shaui - the spunky seductive writer
Sherwin - the dramatically wise writer
Jane - the giggling intellectual writer
Olive - a "newbie" in the team but a versed fashionista writer

So, I'll be waiting for the blogsites of these four very soon huh?
Jun - the seriously deep writer
Jay - the humble gentle writer
Ces - the shyly kalog writer
Rey - the nonsense anime writer hehehe joke!

Oh by the way, FYI guys. * wink * wink * Got this from a site of a person who has a career and is an "expert" in Technical Writing.

WHAT'S THE JOB OUTLOOK?

The outlook for Technical Writing jobs is excellent. The Technical Writer occupation will grow faster than average compared with all occupations. Industry expansion will provide most new jobs, although many openings will occur as workers leave the occupation.

Hhhmm... makes me wonder if I made the right career move... Or did I?

Also, here are a few famous technical writers that I've chanced upon in the internet.

1.) Dilbert's Tina the Brittle Technical Writer

Huwhat?! Dilbert has a Technical Writer?! I didn't know that they have a technical writer! More features on her please.

2.) Fox's Andy Richter Controls the Universe

Hhhmmm... See! Writers can be funny too! Well, ok... sometimes I guess... especially if it's not corny or making weird noises like a car alarm or something

3.) The Technical Writer - The Movie

WTF! After "The Matrix," there's a movie about Technical Writers?! What's next? "The Quality Assurance Testers" or better "The Receptionist" OR much better "The Managers!" mwhaahhhahaha Can't wait to see the end of... The Technical Writers - The Movie mwahahahahha

4.) Amy Tan, Technical Writer and Novelist

Wow!! What a fulfilling reward, a box-office novel turned into a great movie. Well, well, well you can be famous after all in this career!!!

5.) Kurt Vonnegut, Technical Writer and Novelist and Graphic Artist

Uhhmmm... I dunno anything about this guy. Well, well, well you can be not that recognized or not that known after all in this career!!!

As to not end this entry on a sour note, I would just like to say, The Technical Writer - The Movie sure is a fun info to know about! Title pa lang bigatin na. I would like to thank the actors who played the characters in this movie. This is to the victory of writers in the world! In your face QA Testers!!!!!!! Acheche!

My new favorite nephew

As promised here are a few photos of Yuan Miguel Corrales. Looking forward to making you cry when you get a little older and spoiling you a little bit too.

My sister made this collage of Yuan.

Here's a photo of him when he just got home from the hospital.
Zzzzzzz

He's so tiny and cute. All he does is sleep, cry, drink milk, cry, poop, cry, pee and cry all day long. A funny story on Yuan, while he was being given a bath by his mama, he peed on his mama's face, right on target. hehehe That's was a pretty funny sight.

Vacation, Buy something or Payments

I've been thinking about what I'm going to do this hot summer season with my little budget. I have these choices so far:
1.) Go to Boracay with my former officemates in April or go to my province in Samar and attend the fiesta celebration there in May.
2.) Buy a cute dresser that I've been wanting for so long that a cousin also bought at a very low price.
3.) Forget the vacation and the dresser as they are all expenses and just use that extra money of mine to add it as payments to my credit cards.

hhhmmm....

Think, Think, Think.

a month-and-a-half

it's been a month-and-a-half since i started working here in the new company. i just had my first sick leave last friday. bummer actually, i didn't want to take any sick days or have lates while i'm still in probationary period. but i guess i didn't have any choice last friday as my stomach was really, really, really acting up. the pain was really out of this world. but i guess this was better than having a fever or something even worse. i'm feeling much better now, thanks to my mama, she makes you feel like a spoiled brat when you're at home sick. hehehe she really takes care of us when one of us is sick. i'm back to work now and i hope that pain won't come back any time soon.

Razon's halo-halo anyone?

Another friend, told me about this quiz and again, I tried it. I was intrigued by the results because it somehow jives with my Johari window results. hehehe Very fun and interesting indeed...

Halo-Halo
Halo-Halo: A medly of beans and fruits mixed with ice, ice cream, and condensed milk

Which Filipino Food Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

As for the result, I suddenly have a craving to eat halo-halo at Razon's resto, the best halo-halo in town!

Tabelski's Johari Window

A friend told me about this and tried it. Nice to know these kind of things after having a bad night. Here are my results:

http://kevan.org/johari?view=tabelski

Try it too, it's surprising to know the positive things you bring to other people's lives. It's a mood booster too, if you're trying to fight off sleep in the afternoons. ;-D

it's back and i hate it

My damn PAs are back. It kept me awake all night. I just really hate it when this happens. For quite some time now, I've been fighting these PAs with all my might, and so far it's not occurring anymore, but last night it snuck on me like a big surprise. I feel tired today and a lot more than that too. I hate fear, especially when you succumb to it. But how do I overcome it? I need to realize that asap or else I'm gonna have a lot of days and nights feeling like this. F!!!!

A new baby in our clan

Last night, my cousin gave birth to a healthy baby boy! 6 lbs 2 ounces at 21:57 PM, February 28, 2006. I dunno the height of the baby yet, but by the looks of the baby, he was long. Just like his mother, I think he's gonna grow up to be tall. When my sister texted me that if I can go home early 'coz my cousin was having frequent painful contractions for the whole day, I was ecstatic and had to cancel my previous schedule with a friend. hehehe (Sorry po talga!) I immediately rushed home and asked if everything was ready already. My sister and my other cousin, Ate Liza, was there to assist the mother to be. Funny thing was me, my sister and Ate Liza was in a frenzy and sorta in a panic stage of the things that need to be brought to the hospital, while the mother to be was just in a calm mood, taking her time in taking a shower before we go and she even had the time to iron the clothes she will wear to the hospital.

After everything was ready, off to the hospital we go. When we were in the Emergency Room to be IE'd (up to now, I dunno what this term means), we kept on seeing the face of my cousin that was in excruciating pain that we also couldn't help but make the face she's doing also. hehehe If a camera was there, that would have been a very funny picture. After a few minutes, the resident ER doctor said that she was only 3-4 cm but her belly was so low already that the cm measurement doesn't matter and that she's gonna give birth in a few hours. So they called my cousin's OB and off she went to the Labor Room of the hospital.

The Labor Room was off-limits, we couldn't get inside. We would just knock every now and then and ask if she was giving birth already. hehehe I guess the nurses there were getting a little impatient that we kept on bothering the mother to be, but I guess they still welcomed the happy and exciting presence in the surroundings. When my other cousins arrived and brought food reinforcement for the three of us, we became a noisy bunch of people. hehehe Excited and happy that the baby will be arriving soon. We've been waiting outside the Labor Room for about 3 hours now, so we decided to go up the room for a few minutes and eat something. We didn't notice the time and got side-tracked in watching the Pinoy Big Brother show when suddenly a call came that Ate Haidee, my cousin, already gave birth!!! We all rushed downstairs to see the baby immediately. Good thing there were only a few people in the hospital or else we would've strucked panic around because all of us started to run down to the nursery as fast as we can. hehehe

When we got there and still in a frenzy, we were 7 all-in-all in the hospital to welcome the newborn, people were staring at us and maybe asking what the hell is going on?! hehehehe The doctor opened the blinds in the nursery and brought the baby near the window. The doctor was even surprised because there were a lot of faces waiting by the window to see the baby when she opened the blinds. The baby opened his eyes immediately when he was brought near the window and we took pictures non-stop. He must have been surprised by all the flashes of light coming to him, and started to cry a little bit and maybe thought, "One tunnel of light is enough for me please my Titas. Let me rest for a bit, I'll see you tomorrow."

Now, we're still deciding the name of the baby, at first we thought of Gabriel Alexander, but the name of the deceitful father was pretty close to that name and we didn't want a reminder of that in the baby. hihihi So other names came to mind, like: Vincent Marco, Vincent Yuan, Vincent Juwan, Gavin Sebastian, Antonio Andres, Procopio Rodolfo, Ambrosito Rebecca etc.. hehehe It's still open for debate as the name is of great importance in the growth of a child, all the teasing and the name-calling in school, in playmates and even among the titas and titos. hehehe wink! wink! Another factor is also explaining the history of his name when he asks us one day when he's all grown up. So for now, he's still called Baby Boy Corrales born with so much love and care in this world. Welcome to this wonderful and wacky clan of ours! So, do you have any name suggestions?
